Learn all about Bones Bearings:
The bearings from Bones Bearings are "skate-rated" and thus specially made for skateboarding. In the skatedeluxe skate shop you can buy a wide selection of skateboard bearings from Bones Bearings. Here you'll find solid standard bearings such as Bones Reds or the premium class among the skate bearings: Bones Swiss.
Bones Bearings - skate bearings with a long tradition
Bones Bearings was founded in the early 80s by George Powell as part of Powell Peralta. Powell was dissatisfied with the bearing situation at the time and was finally able to realize his idea of producing skateboard bearings with a company from Switzerland.
The bearings from Bones Bearings are made in the truest sense of "from skaters for skaters", and are manufactured specifically for skateboarding. In addition, Bones leaves out the often misleading ABEC description for bearings and simply calls the skate bearings "skate-rated".
Since their production in Switzerland was associated with high costs, George Powell looked around for a new production country and found, after two years of testing, a reliable producer in China. In 1997, the time had come and Bones Bearings brought, in addition to the already very popular Bones Swiss, the less expensive Bones Reds on the market.
Reds vs. Swiss - the bearings from Bones Bearings
In the Bones Bearings section of the skatedeluxe online shop, you'll find different Bones bearings - from upscale standard bearings to high-class bearings. In general, the range is divided into Bones Reds and Bones Swiss.
Bones Reds - quality bearings with high standards
Reds bearings are the more economical bearings from Bones. But that doesn't make them inferior in quality. These are bearings that have been driven and appreciated by generations of skaters.
Bones Reds
Quiet, robust and inexpensive - this is the best way to describe the Bones Reds from Bones Bearings. With the Bones Reds you're always doing the right thing, because its price-performance ratio is on target. Bones Reds have been among the most popular bearings for years.
Bones Reds Big Balls
Bones Big Balls are lighter, slightly faster and more durable. The biggest difference between them and the Reds is that Bones Big Balls have six ball instead of seven in the bearing cage. You can read up on how the Big Balls perform in everyday life in our skate test.
Bones Super Reds
The Bones Super Reds are, compared to the Reds, even quieter and smoother. If you prefer quiet bearings, then you can't go wrong with the Super Reds from Bones Bearings.
Bones Ceramic Super Reds
In the Bones Ceramic Super Reds, the balls in the bearings are not made of steel, but of silicon nitride. This makes the Ceramic Super Reds faster, quieter and more durable and less susceptible to moisture.
Bones Race Reds
Bones Race Reds have a built-in spacer and speed rings. As a result, your bearings are optimally aligned to each other at all times. Of course, you get the usual high quality of Bones Reds ball bearings.
Bones Swiss - maximum speed & longer durability
Bones Swiss bearings are manufactured with the highest precision in Switzerland. They are among the highest quality skateboard bearings on the market.
Bones Swiss
Bones Swiss bearings are probably the most legendary skate bearings ever and have been the first choice for pro-skaters worldwide for over 30 years. The Swiss-made bearings are specially designed for skateboarding and are characterized by the fact that they are super fast and robust.
Bones Super Swiss 6
The Super Swiss 6 bearings from Bones use six balls, instead of seven, in the bearing. This makes them even faster, lighter and more robust. Of course, the Super Swiss 6 bearings have the same high-quality workmanship as the regular Bones Swiss.
Bones Swiss Ceramics
The Bones Swiss Ceramics are the absolute high-class bearings from Bones Bearings. They are more heat-, shock- and weather resistant than all other bearings from Bones, and are among the best skateboard bearings in the world.
