Former hails from sunny California and was founded by professional surfers Craig Anderson and Dane Reynolds and the "Team Handsome duo" Austyn Gillette and Dylan Rieder (RIP). Former's founders are known for a style that stands out from the mainstream of the skateboarding and surfing world. They try to use the brand to produce things that they themselves want to wear and stand behind 100%.
