Here to stay - Blazer Low and Mid models

With the skateboard remake by Lance Mountain, the blazer silhouette finally arrived on the skate scene. He upgraded the Nike SB Blazer (Mid) with a cushioning Nike SB Zoom element, a durable rubber outsole, a reinforced heel area and additional padding. Despite the significantly slimmer appearance as compared to other skate shoes popular in the early 2000s, the Nike SB Blazer was enjoying increasing popularity.

Nike SB Blazer Low - Grant Taylor

Grant Taylor is one of the most popular pros on Nike SB. The close collaboration with Nike SB started in 2014 when he presented his first signature model, the Nike SB Blazer Low GT. Grant Taylor, known for his unique style and limitless energy in the skate scene, combined the classic and seasoned models Nike SB Blazer and Nike SB Bruin.

The resulting Blazer Low GT introduced the Nike Blazer as a low-top model and still includes the details that were tailored to fit Taylor's needs. Numerous colorways and design updates have resulted, but the silhouette still corresponds to the classic. In 2021, the shoe was slightly redesigned by Grant Taylor to offer more durability while maintaining performance under the name Nike SB Blazer Low Pro GT.
