Find your complete longboard - Everything you need to know about longboards
A longboard is a longer form of skateboard and was first developed by surfers who wanted to bring surfing to the streets. Longboarding offers a niche for everyone through its various disciplines such as cruising, dancing, slalom, carving, sliding, freeride or downhill. No matter how you want to ride, you can easily buy your new complete longboard online in skatedeluxe skate shop.
The ideal complete longboard for you
A ready-to-use longboard needs a few components: Deck, trucks, wheels, bearings, mounting kit and grip tape. With complete-longboards, you don't have to worry about assembling them. These longboards come fully mounted and you can order them "ready-to-skate" to your home.
Select complete longboards by size and flex
For longboards, size means the length of the longboard. In our shop you will find longboards from about 80 to 110 cm board length. Which length fits you depends a little on your stature and especially on the area of use. The taller you are, the longer your longboard can be. The longer the longboard, the more stability it has on the street.
In addition, the longboard flex is still interesting. The flex determines how flexible a longboard deck is. Depending on the area of use, different flex levels are useful. A flexible deck is a nice thing for carving and cruising, but can be unwanted when riding downhill.
We distinguish between three flex levels in the shop: "stiff", "medium" and "flexy". This gives you an overview of how much flex your Longboard complete is equipped with. You can learn more about this in our Longboard Wiki.
Longboards & area of use
Your way of riding is determined by the setup. Cruising, carving, dancing, freeride or downhill, you can buy longboard complete boards for every area in our shop. With the filter "area of use" you can easily find the board that suits you.
Downhill Longboards
High speed requires stability. These boards are provided with a drop in the area between the trucks to stabilize the steering behavior at high speeds.
» Downhill LongboardsFreeride Longboards
If you are into slides and speed, you should go for the symmetrical twintip boards. Low flex is paired with tail and nose kicks.
» Freeride LongboardsCarving Longboards
Higher flex for maximum maneuverability. "Cutout-shapes" spare areas around the wheels that these have more space or lie free and thus avoid wheelbites.
» Carving LongboardsCruising Longboards
Very similar to the skateboard, cruisers are equipped with tail and often also with a nose. The classic shape with kicktail also allows ollies and airs.
» Cruising LongboardsWhich concave should your longboard have?
The concave describes the strength of the longitudinal curvature of your longboard. It is generally distinguished between Low, Mid, High & No Concave. The choice of concave depends somewhat on the area of use, but is primarily a matter of taste. The steeper the concave, the more steering-friendly your longboard is.
What material should your longboard be made of?
This is basically about the material of the longboard deck. Most decks of complete longboards are made of maple or bamboo. There are also hybrid constructions made of fiberglass or epoxy resin combined with wood. All our complete longboards are characterized by high-quality materials and perfectly matched parts and are a good choice for beginners as well as for advanced riders!
