Instructions for Battery Disposal

Batteries are included with some of the devices we ship. Batteries or rechargeable batteries may also be permanently installed in the devices themselves, for example, in watches. In respect of the distribution of these batteries and accumulators, we’d like to point out the following battery ordinance:

Dispose of used batteries as mandated by the governing legislation, at a municipal collection site or drop them off on-site for free. Once used, batteries received from us can be returned to us free of charge or, with sufficient postage, sent via post to the following address:

The disposal of batteries in household waste is strictly prohibited according to the Battery Directive! Batteries containing pollutants are signified with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin.

Under this symbol, you’ll find the following labels with the subsequent meanings:
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by weight
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by weight
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by weight
