hey, the ACE 66 AF1 ist a super tunrning axle. I changed from Indy159 to 66-AF1. The weight is much heavier, than the forged hollow 159 INDY. The turn is much smoother and more precisely than the 159er. The real measured width of the hanger is 159mm without washers! (You don´t need washers!) The 159er are 156mm without washers - include washers 158mm. So thesse axles are pretty the same in width. The axle-with is more than the 159er - real you don´t need this. The 9" comes only from this unnessesary longer screw! So the Axle is perfect fitting a 8.75 board. For me the 55-AF1 was much to small on a 8.75! I changed the baseplate from my 159er foged hollow to the ACE 66 AF1, because they are the same! Same angle, same high etc. The only difference is the position o the boardholes, but the relativ position is the same! The ACE just have a little bit more material to the board and the indy to the Nose. When the axle is mounted, so the wheelbase with the changed baseplate are the same like the wheelbase with the original ACE-baseplastes! The wheelbase is ca. 5mm shorter then the 159er! So your tail feels a little bit longer. Ollie pop is a bit less - maybe founded in the weight and the 1,2mm less in the high. you have to change the pivot-cup! With the forged hollow Indybaseplate this axle is heavy but not too heavy and a dream of surfing and carvin. It feels stable with loose axles and feels very controlable in landings. The axle grinds very smooth and i like the turning and the alltime save-feeling ... When you have a old forged-hollow baseplate from any INDY, so you should changed the baseplate '(and the pivot) and you can save some gramms and the ACE feels much better for ollies. In the pool it is not nessesary. I love the turning !
These are hands down the best trucks you will ever have. forget about the other brands ace trucks is A1. dont forget that 66 is same size as old ace 55 best for 9” deck
