Extra washers let you keep your axle nuts at the end of the thread so that you don't ruin it. The washers included with trucks are often not enough. Minimizing wheel side movement will also make your bearings last longer, spacers or not. These are a bit thicker than inch pattern standard washers you get with trucks. It's very useful to combine thicknesses to get the right spacing.

If you don’t use these on your trucks, you should. If the machined surface of your hanger isn't faced flat, your bearing won’t work as well as they do with these. They make your bearings roll better, full stop. Good quality material and for the price from SkateDeluxe, you can’t go wrong.
