After I had to get my son (6 years old) a "real" Skateboard for my son (6 years old) (after visiting a skate park, he was no longer happy with his Landyachtz mini dinghy...), after some hesitation I also got my first "real" Skateboard to be able to accompany him more directly. I personally (42 years old) have never been skating, I've only occasionally been out and about on a surf skate for a few years and have accompanied my children cruising. I also tried out the odd park - but pump tracks and the like were nicer with the Surfskate. Now I've used the board a few times and have to say that although the basic maneuvers work (and are a lot of fun), the wheels seemed too small and too hard. After all, in the park I come from surf skate with Orangatang with 65mm and 86a - with the new skateboard, on the other hand, I feel every joint in the park and the stress (on the bones) is also more intense. Apart from that, the graphics are beautiful and I also like the board itself. The trucks seemed very strange to me at the beginning (jerky in the tilt) but now seem to be broken in and better adjusted. As an update, I've now treated myself to 1/16 shock pads and (...here comes the big twist) fitted different wheels (+ ball bearings): Dragons V1 in 54mm and 93a - what a difference, I'm totally thrilled. I used to cruise to the park on my surf skate, but now I can accompany the kids to the park on my skateboard. The wheels make a huge difference, joints recede more and for me personally it gives me a completely different sense of security. But I repeat: I'm new to skateboarding, I don't do any technical maneuvers (jumped tricks, slides, etc.) and am more interested in riding and enjoying turns and slopes ;) Best regards
